Universal Wedgie can help with so many problems; however the original idea for the Wedgie was to help solve one problem.

The President and founder Donald Flaner has been passionate for years to help those that have been forced into a wheelchair from spinal cord injuries. Beyond doing what he can for raising safety awareness and money to go to the research for a cure with his non-profit Full Circle Foundation, he wanted to help people in wheelchairs with there everyday lives. This is where the initial idea for the Universal Wedgie got started. He saw the need of improved mobility to get in and out of a persons own home. There was a need for a fast, easy and cost effective solution to solve the problems of a rise of a door and how a person in a wheelchair could go in and out of that door with out any trouble.

From that one idea came a product that had so many uses, thus the Universal Wedgie was created.
